Oil on Wood Sign |
|
|||
|
This
sign pictures Charlie, the howling beagle. It was painted from
a bad flash photo. I'm used to working with bad photos and can
usually figure them out. This sign has a black frame around it
because it is made from a thinner panel than I usually. It is painted
with oils and antiqued with a crackled finshed. I was trying to
minmize the weight since it was being shipped to Europe. Either
a 3/4" panel or a thin panel with a frame can be used for a pub sign. Unfortunately,
Charlie passed away shortely after his portrait was painted.
"Brian
absolutely loves it, and all of our friends think it's terrific!
I can't thank you enough for doing such a fabulous job and
for being so easy to work with. It was truly a pleasure collaborating
on this with you." - AMF |
