On a sad note, this page is dedicated to
Ruby, my dear, much loved cocker spaniel
and flat-coated retriever mix.
She had to be put down in late December 2005.
It was an awful day. I held her in my arms as
she quietly went to sleep for the last time.

She had been with me through many hard years
and the recent good ones.
She was fantastically intelligent and an absolutely beautiful dog;
the most good-natured dog I ever met.
Ruby was the light of many dark days and
a sweet, happy, funny companion
for all the years that I had the blessing of knowing her.

I know she is running at full speed through the fields of heaven.

UPDATE!!

After 9 months of missing Ruby,
I have adopted a new rescue puppy!
She is 1/2 standard poodle and 1/2 labrador retriever.

Her name is Mackenzie and she is smart as a whip and very sweet.

Here she is enjoying her first dip in the pool.
